bio:
Born and raised in Boston. Although New England will always be where I grew up, I like to get away from it and travel as much as possible, with hopes of relocating to the West Coast (likely in the LA area or Las Vegas) within the next few years.
More about my background: Since early childhood, I loved to be the center of attention. My doting parents were always photographing and taking video captures of me, and I loved it. At age 5 I started to play piano, and shortly thereafter began to compose music. At 14, I picked up my dad's guitar (black Gibson Sonex Deluxe, a relatively obscure Les Paul model which I am quite fond of) and eventually started my first band in 1997 with some friends, "Blodgett" , in which I was the singer and rythm guitarist. I was a leader from the time I could stand on my own two feet, and excelled at stage performance. For the first time I'd found a positive outlet for my aggressive energy - the stage. It was during this period of time that Lilith fuckin' Astaroth was born! She started off as simply a death metal singer but later moved on into many other incredible adventures!
Sometime in late '99, after seeing a short segment on tv about this new phenomenon of "webcams", I decided to get one - with the express purpose of bringing more exposure to my work.. my music. I'd already had a website for 2 years that included photos, my journal, and info on my band, and I thought that getting a webcam would be a very good way of getting more people to my site to hear my music. In 1999, chicks with webcams weren't a penny a dozen like they've become now, a decade later. There are literally thousands of girls with webcam sites now, (or simply just girls with webcams, who get paid to take off their clothes and can make quite a killing). Back then there were only a good dozen or two of us. Webcam sites were a rarity in 1999, and I have always been proud to be one of the original "camgirls". I'd always loved to be in front of a camera, and now I was able to take my own photographs whenever I wanted ,as a means of artistic expression, or simply just to practice posing and try out different styles and looks for myself. I was known on my website as Lilith, "The All-American Girl". Hundreds upon hundreds of people daily were soon visiting my site. Before I knew it, I had so much fan mail coming in every day that I couldn't even respond to all of it. Every few weeks I would have webmasters emailing me for interviews and asking to use my photos on their website. Having my webcam on my site has opened many doors for me, including print appearances, a slot on a daytime tv talk show, modeling opportunities, and even an appearance in a camgirls documentary, in which I was flown out to Las Vegas for 4 days for a truly amazing and enjoyable experience with 15 other camgirls! There are so many webcam sites now that it has lost some of it's original excitement for me, but my longtime fans who have been with me all this time are what inspire me to keep on going. I've met some truly wonderful people through having my website and I am so grateful for that. =)
After Blodgett eventually fell apart, I provided some vocals for my buddy Sef St. Clair's band "Cried" (based in Baltimore - I did my first show outside of Boston with them in 2002, at the Orpheum Theater!) and later on joined the glam/faggy rock band Kari Nations for awhile. I put down a couple of bass and vocal tracks on their first and only full-length album. Did a bunch of shows with them as and their guitarist and backup singer. The only relatively cool one was at O'Briens, with Trash Light Vision. After having way too many personal issues with the other egos in that bunch, I peaced outta that situation and the band only stuck it out another year and a half before it peaced out as well.
I of course, looked for a new band immediately. At the time, (early 2000's) I couldn't find many metal bands who were looking for singers at the time. It's very odd, considering how much metal soon started coming from New England in the following years... but in 03, there was little good metal to be found! I eventually found a band to perform with as their lead singer in 03, but sadly, that didn't last long either. I was voted out for "screaming too much." So much for "Massachusettes Metal." meh.
In fact, it seemed that most Boston area bands during that time were not only NOT metal bands, but if they were, they were afraid to try a female singer... despite the fact I could scream better than many of my male counterparts. So, deeply discouraged, I decided to give up on music for awhile. I was quite depressed about this but I vowed to find a new artistic outlet and knew I would one day return to my love of music and being on stage.
I decided to persue modeling after shelving my musical endeavors for awhile. It was actually quite the natural progression for Me, especially with all of my experience posing in front of a webcam and taking my own self portraits for so many years. I even did the Suicide Girl thing for a brief moment in time, before I quickly realized how much their contract terms sucked and got out while I could...( and that was long before they decided to resell their model's content to porn sites all over the internet.. ) I quickly became involved in fetish modeling and with Boston's somewhat small fetish scene (Which has improved vastly in recent years, I'm happy to say.) I started to find My true self, through this world I had not yet explored. I have since been featured at many events throughout New England and Canada. (Fetish Factory, NELA Fetish Flea, FetishCon, Jaded, Desire, and SinOMatic are some examples!) I have been modeling professionally for 5 years and have appeared in several publications, promos, videos, etc, as seen in my resume!
As of recently, I've been getting more into film acting, which I anticipate focusing on for a good chunk of time, and then return to music and live performance, which is where I feel I am the happiest. I scored a cameo in Rob Fitz' "God of Vampires", as one of several female vampire-zombies. And I'm featured in Richard Griffin's "Nun of That" as a gorgeous go-go dancer and wicked nun!
In the meantime, in my vocal endeavors, I have been providing metal vox and voiceovers for different projects, and I recently joined the band
SORROWSEED, a melodic, doom metal band with an awesome concept, check us out
HERE.
In my free time, as well as appearing at lots of fetish events around New England, I enjoy going to shows/clubs, kicking ass as the dark elf wizard version of Lilith in EverQuest (or bringing her to LIFE at the EQ Fan Faire every year!! lol) , chillin' with my amazing and wonderful friends, supporting awesome bands like POWERGLOVE and MATALON, and enjoying all that life has to offer. And of course, you can often see me having fun on my webcamz when I'm not out shooting or otherwise paintin the town red... So, come say hi sometime! ;)
